We are now accepting expressions of interest to live at Korongee

It’s a big day for us – we are excited to announce that we are now accepting expressions of interest for residents to live at Korongee!

Korongee is a village for people living with dementia, offering small house living and an innovative model of care.

Located in the northern suburbs of Hobart, Korongee is slated to open in July this year.

We’re proud to have HESTA super fund involved, with an investment of $19 million into the project through their Social Impact Investment Trust.

Applications for entry to the facility will be assessed by:

  • Approval from ACAT for permanent entry to a residential facility
  • Each applicant’s assessed care need to receive specialised dementia care
  • Applicants with the highest care needs will be given priority for a permanent residential place
  • The suitability of each applicant for entry to the village will be based on our ability to meet the care needs of each applicant

The Korongee application form will outline the process and information that needs to be provided for eligibility for admission to the village.

Following receiving applications, we will be in touch to notify each applicant of further assessment process if required, if they are eligible for this service.

If a place is offered, a prospective date for admission will be discussed.

The application form can be found on our Korongee page http://glenview.org.au/korongee/ under How to Apply.
