First anniversay of Waratah House

Congratulations to our Waratah House team on the first anniversary of the innovative specialised dementia care program (SDCP). Under the leadership of Eliza Greentree, the team has been providing high-level tailored care to people living with dementia who exhibit severe behavioural and psychological symptoms. This unique program, which uses a person-centred, multidisciplinary approach, has seen clients successfully transition from Waratah into a less intensive aged care setting.

The cottage-like residence houses nine older people and is the first SDCP in Tasmania. The unit has not only eased the burden on families and hospitals in its first year but also positively impacted our community. Well done, Team Waratah! Your dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed. Glenview and the broader community are truly grateful for your efforts.
