Glenview clinical teams are specifically trained to deliver a person-centred, multidisciplinary approach to your care.
This ensures you have access to medical specialists for appropriate clinical care and to allied health professionals like your doctor, podiatrist, or dentist.
Our clinical staff will help schedule appointments outside of Glenview, and our reception staff are happy to call you a taxi to collect and deliver you on the day.
The intention is for you to be happy and healthy here. On moving-in day our reception team will be here to greet you, and a nurse will help you settle into your new home and start your care plan. This is a big step, and we want to help in any way we can.
You’ll be welcomed and introduced to everyone and given a pamphlet with tips for newcomers. The House Companions will take time to learn what you like, and what you are interested in. Together we’ll map out a range of activities to try, and events to go to – if you want. Your family and friends are welcome to join the events, too.
Life at Windsor
Ever-changing activities
Windsor’s range of activities include mystery bus tours, cooking, sewing, shopping trips, bingo, shuffle boarding, exercise classes, therapy dog visits, and concerts. There are special functions organised by our dedicated activities team for residents, families, and friends to attend like the Spring Fling, Winter Festival Dinner Dance, and other cultural celebrations.
Stay connected to everyone!
If you don’t mind having your photo taken, we will post photos of you on our social media pages such as Facebook, and Instagram. Photos of you may also appear in the monthly Glenview Newsletter for residents and representatives, or on this website. No matter how far away your friends and family are, they can share in your life. We are happy to coordinate video calls too.
Our rooms and services
The rooms at Windsor are airy, light, and warm. While each room is furnished, it’s your private space. Bring in some special memorabilia to make it your own.
All are private single rooms, most with an ensuite. Some have a shared bathroom in between two rooms, and most of our rooms are carpeted.
When a room becomes available, you and your family will be invited to view it and have a short time to consider our offer.
Enjoy access to services including 24-hour nursing care, meals, laundry, a range of therapies, as well as cultural and spiritual support.
You can relax in our comfortable communal lounge areas, as well as the Derwent Room function area to read, play games or spend time with friends and family.
