Update from Glenview CEO Lucy O’Flaherty

I know there have been conflicting messages on the media this week in regards to visitor restrictions to aged care facilities in Australia.

We understand that families have concerns and are very eager to see their loved ones again.

However, the Director of Public Health, Mark Veitch, stated on 22 April that the current restrictions regarding visitors to aged care facilities are to remain in place in Tasmania until midnight, 4 May 2020, and so we must comply with these mandates.

The directive from the Director of Public Health outlines these restrictions in greater detail:

Residential-Aged-Care-Facilities-No.-3-17-Apr-20

We all look forward to the time when it becomes safe to allow visitors to come back to Glenview and we will continue to keep you updated on this evolving situation.

We really appreciate your support and understanding of what we’re doing, which is in the interest of keeping residents safe during this pandemic

Thank you,

Lucy O’Flaherty

Glenview CEO
