Glenview CEO named Tasmanian Business Woman of the Year

To say we’re proud is an understatement!

Our CEO Lucy O’Flaherty was named 2019 Telstra Tasmanian Business Woman of the Year at an awards ceremony in Hobart recently and she thanked those who work beside her at Glenview.
“Without my team, there is no way I would have won these awards, so a huge thanks goes out to this dedicated group of people who work day in day out with our residents and consumers, giving them exceptional care and ensuring they have a good life both now and into the future,” said Lucy.

Lucy has driven Glenview Community Services to become a multi-award-winning Tasmanian aged care provider.  With dementia being the second highest cause of death for the Tasmanian population, Lucy also holds a passionate vision to have a major impact on dementia services. She successfully acquired $19 million of social impact funding, which has provided her with a platform to create Australia’s first dementia village, Korongee.
With the aged care industry currently going through major reforms, Lucy is helping to recreate the vision and future of the sector.

The national winners will be announced at a dinner celebration in May in Sydney.
