All smiles for Bisdee respite care services

You can tell by her wide grin and cheerful disposition just how happy and content Lynn is at Bisdee.

“I feel safe here and I get to spend time with other people,” she says of her regular week-long stays in our respite care centre.

As part of the service, during her stay, Lynn has her own self-contained room, all of her meals are provided and she has 24 hour access to staff support, if required.

Lynn says that during her time at Bisdee, she enjoys having breakfast in bed, doing her own washing, and spending time in the gardens, as well as taking part in the Bisdee community centre programs.

The community centre is just a short stroll down the hallway where Lynn can spend time with her friends, meet new people and take part in activities.  When the opportunity presents, Lynn enjoys bus outings to go op shopping with like-minded people.

She also likes to sit with her selection of teddies, valued companions which she always brings along with her to help her feel even more at home.

At Bisdee respite care, we pride ourselves on being able to cater to everyone’s individual needs. We are currently refurbishing two rooms to create a couple’s accommodation option and we’re always seeking new ways to create an environment that feels like home.

Bisdee is a dynamic environment, where people’s stories and unique interests guide the design of our activities. We work hard to ensure that those who stay with us find the sanctuary that suits their needs.
