Welcome to the Korongee blog which will chronicle the evolving story of Korongee’s development as Australia’s first residential village designed specifically for people living with dementia.

Korongee at the Aged & Community Services Tasmania Conference

Aged & Community Services Tasmania (ACST) recently held their annual conference in Hobart.

The Korongee Project Development Manager, Liz Thomas spoke about the concept of the Korongee small house model and updated the audience on the project progress.

In the annual ACST awards, Glenview Community Services was announced as the WINNER of the Media, Marketing and Engagement Award in recognition of the Korongee project promotion of the importance of dementia specific residential care.

Our Community Services Manager, Simon Hyvattinen, stepped up to the plate and accepted the award and acknowledged all other finalist and winners of awards and congratulated all providers for all they do in supporting people with dementia in our respective communities.
